Ontologies are important to all data-driven research, and this group serves as an intermediary to assess common goals, needs and opportunities across all Platform CoPs and working groups. The Platform’s INSPIRE projects provide a testbed for its recommendations.
By promoting FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data principles, the Ontology CoP fosters a culture that values data, and enables its members to solve global grand challenges faster, better and at greater scale.
This CoP serves as a virtual meeting space where Ontology enthusiasts and specialists from 15 CGIAR Centers, collaborative organizations, as well as sister Platform CoPs, can share ideas and resources, find collaborators and co-authors and participate in relevant discussions.
