Digital agriculture extension holds high potential to be a transformative technology. It can provide a unique opportunity to reach many users at a relatively low cost. In addition, when packaged in a smartphone, it can draw on the transformative power of ‘big data’ and AI. However, in the rush to develop and use new methodologies are we discarding traditional, yet powerful, approaches to agricultural extension? Are we excluding communities that lack access to digital technologies? What are the trade-offs from moving from traditional to digital approaches? Can synergies be gained from combining the approaches? In this webinar, we will examine these questions.
