How can the livestock community deploy data-driven innovations build a more sustainable, resilient and equitable sector? The livestock sector is experiencing major disruptions due to the current pandemic, especially in Low and Middle-Income Countries. But it’s also opened new opportunities to rebuild more equitably and sustainably, especially using digitalised services. Members of the Livestock Data for Decisions (LD4D) Community are stepping up to these challenges, using novel approaches to measure COVID-19 impacts on the sector, and deploying data-driven interventions to help the sector rebuild better. We explored these innovations at the recent Big Data in Agriculture Virtual Convention.
